- The 2018 Colorado Business Economic Outlook produced by the Business Research Division at Leeds forecasts 47,100 new jobs in Colorado for 2018. Now in its 53rd year, the Outlook analyzes changes that occurred over the past year and examines the opportunities and challenges that will shape population, employment and the overall economy in the coming year.
- Recently, a team of six undergraduate real estate students at the Leeds School took the top spot at this year’s 2017 Sherman Miller Real Estate Competition. This victory marks the third time Leeds has won it since the competition began in 2014. The
- Leeds landed at number 20 in U.S. News & World Report’s 2018 undergraduate rankings among public universities. Overall Leeds ranked 31 among the combined public, private, and for-profit university rankings. These positions are up one spot each from the 2017 undergraduate business program rankings.
- Leeds alumnus Jim Packer (Mktg ’85) is the featured entrepreneur at Silicon Flatirons’ upcoming startup meetup, Entrepreneurs Unplugged. Mr. Packer is head of Lionsgate’s global television distribution operations, directing strategies for capitalizing on evolving distribution opportunities in a fast-changing global marketplace.
- Leeds assistant professor, Philip Fernbach will be presenting at TEDxMileHigh on July 7-8. Fernbach’s talk will focus on his book and the illusion that people know more than they actually do. Among the 20 other speakers, are 91¸£ÀûÉç affiliates, ATLAS Instructor Arielle Hein, and Author David Baron.
- Doug Bennett, Leeds Management and Entrepreneurship faculty member, was honored with the CU Integrity Award. Doug, a former Airborne Ranger Infantry officer with a Bronze Star and Purple Heart, was recognized for representing the values and ideals in the CU Honor Code.
- Dr. Christina Lacerenza has received a 2017 Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellowship. Christina will be joining the Management and Entrepreneurship program at Leeds, exploring effective leadership methods as it relates to speech and gender.
