CMDI Learning Space and Event Support Service Level Agreement (SLA)

Overview:
As part of the college’s mission to support excellence and innovation in teaching, learning, and scholarly and creative work, CMDI offers the community technology-rich, flexible, and reliable learning spaces in buildings throughout the CU campus. The college is committed to making these facilities accessible and inclusive for all members of the CMDI community.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý
The CMDI Learning Spaces service emphasizes the physical design, layout, and management of learning environments to foster effective teaching, learning, and collaboration. Other university departments usually manage services outside this scope, or specialized units oversee those areas.
Learning Space and Event Support consists of procuring, installing, and maintaining learning space equipment; consulting for and supporting college events; providing and supporting audiovisual equipment in learning spaces and for events; and contracting the university's overarching technology group, OIT, to plan and design spaces. This Service Level Agreement (SLA) establishes guidelines for learning space and event support provided to the 91¸£ÀûÉç's College of Media, Communication, and Information (CMDI) Students, Faculty, and Staff.
Service Offerings
- Purchasing and maintaining general-purpose learning space equipment.
- College-wide learning spaces, conference rooms, and videoconferencing support and consultation.
- AV support is available for CMDI events held in learning or event spaces with a minimum notice of 2 weeks.ÌýEvent planning between the AV Coordinator and the Event Coordinator may include, but is not limited to:
- Support for CMDI learning spaces through technology includes:
- Troubleshooting learning space technology.
- Addressing and resolving the technical issue to the best of our immediate availability.
- Effective date of the SLA: The SLA will take effect on July 1, 2025.

Community Responsibility
Under the terms of this SLA, the CMDI community shall be responsible for the following:
- Familiarizing oneself with the practical applications of learning space technology through either self-instruction or organized training sessions with a member of the CMDI Tech Experience Team.
- Developing a backup plan for unexpected technology malfunctions in the learning space.
- Notify the CMDI Tech Experience Team promptly of any equipment or technical issues.
If you need audiovisual support, please consult the CMDI Tech Experience Team at least two weeks before the event date.
User Eligibility:
For academic purposes, learning space and event support are available to current CMDI students, faculty, and staff.
Service Availability:
- On-site support is available Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
- Off-hours support must be arranged at least two weeks before the event date.
Fees and Expenses:
CMDI Faculty, Staff, and Students are not charged for general-purpose learning space assistance or equipment checkout.

- Event support
- Technology consultation for events
- Technology training for Faculty & Staff
