Early Move to All-Remote Learning

Dear students, faculty, and staff,

I’m writing to follow up onÌýtoday’s messageÌýfrom Provost Moore and Chief Operating Officer O’Rourke announcing that the shift to entirely remote learning for the remainder of the semester will be moved up to November 16.ÌýPlease note that the last day of in-person instruction this semester will be Friday, November 13.ÌýAll classes this semester will continue entirely remotely after that date.

This move followsÌý91¸£ÀûÉç County’s shift to the more restrictive Safer at Home Level Orange (formerly Safer at Home Level 3) on the state COVID-19 dial, effective Friday, November 6.

To support students who plan to move to back home or otherwise out of the metro area, the campus will provideÌýexpanded on-campus COVID testingÌýstarting next week. We strongly encourage any students planning to leave the Denver-91¸£ÀûÉçÌýarea to get tested within 48 to 72 hours prior to departure.

Other than the early move to entirely remote instruction, 91¸£ÀûÉç campus operations and research activity will continue. Students, faculty, and staff will continue to be able to access the building andÌýÌýusing their Buff OneCards.ÌýÌý

I want to say how proud I am of all of you for working to maintain a safe learning environment and keep each other safe. How the pandemic unfolds, however, is not just up to us. I amÌýhopeful that aÌýbroader effort in the surrounding area willÌýsucceed in eventually bending the rate ofÌýinfection back down. In any event, our community of learning will continue to thrive. Thank you for your resilience, adaptability, and caring of each other in innumerable ways.

Take care,
