Reporting and Deliverables

An award may require various reports on research performance, financial progress, and property acquisitions, as specified in its terms and conditions. Below are the types of reports that may be needed and who is responsible for submitting them.

PI Reports (Progress, Performance or Technical Reports)

The Principal Investigator (PI) is responsible for submitting reports required by the Sponsor thatcover progress on the project research performance, milestone achievements, and new technology or invention developments. These reports may be referred to by the sponsor as:

  • RPPR (Research Performance Progress Report)
  • Technical Report
  • Performance Report
  • Project Report

These reports are considered deliverables under the terms of an award and should be submitted by the sponsor鈥檚 deadlines. Due to the variety of Sponsor鈥檚 deliverable methods, the Guide to Sponsor Reporting Requirements听was created to assist with questions regarding CU procedures for report submissions.

Importance
